A romantic journey starts at the bus stop immediately after Brian and Joy alight. He offers to shield Joy's soiled dress by all means possible and by that, setting off what turns out a memorable moment in love.

Communication starts after that and Brian's heart finds its missing half. Their relationship blossoms much to the envy of friends and neighbours. Later, Caro corrupts Joy and introduces her to the streets in a bid to sustain their extravagant lives.

Brian follows her to the streets but all his efforts land on a deaf ear. Joy gets infected. Brian starts over again but this time with Liz who offers the perfect shoulder to lean on. Life continues well for both and marriage results. Liz has two missions: fighting for her love and granting her cousin her last wish before she dies. Joy gives birth a day after Liz and they keep it a secret. Brian gets to know about it a year later after Joy's death.
