Most people do not want to spend the time required to read a book. Instead, they want instant gratification. This guide is meant to give you the most information and, in the fewest words possible, to aid you in your goal of opening your own business. At the beginning you will find a general outline of what it takes to start a successful business. Further into the guide you will find a checklist plus more specific information on how to get your business up and running. Some of the information is repetitive. There is a reason for that. The points that are repeated are the ones that I consider to be of the utmost importance. There is also guidance on where you can find additional help and more information for your particular product outside of this guide should you need it. No punches are pulled. This information was gathered over the last forty years during which my wife and I have owned a total of ten (actually more) successful businesses. Some of the lessons we learned were brutal.
