A Planet Reborn

Having helped restored orbit and spin to the once stationary planet Alcenta, the crew of the Star Wing, Earth's first interstellar spacecraft, is next tasked with resolving a dangerous complication caused by Alcenta's recovery. In the process, Dan, Aashi, and the perceptive alien Instan theorize that magnetic monopoles would likely promote unifying processes in nature which could help resolve the planet's current dilemma. They later learn that monopoles may initiate a process which leads to what Dan calls quasi-life. Alarmed by quasi-life's potential as a life devouring weapon that could be used against Alcenta, Dan and Aashi, with the aid of Captain Grieg and Doctor Solander, seek to neutralize this new threat. Complicating this task, they learn that the hostile captive alien, Commander Parmenataur, has escaped and hijacked an Aurelian starship. Bent on crushing Dan for escaping from his base with vital secrets, he pulls no punches. These passions and intrigues unfold on a vast cosmic stage, yet a stage its actors connect with more thanks to recent discoveries.
