She learns quickly about the Guardians who are special vampires, more human than most and who work for angels acting as guardians of mortals. Things get even more complicated when her best friend Hayden goes missing, Vallen's sweet brother Vandon befriends her, and she finds a tribe of supernatural Night Warriors living in the woods behind her house. Amidst her confusion towards Vallen, she has to shove her feelings aside when he gets be-spelled by one of the Deimos' sorcerers leading him to almost kill Willow and her brother, while endangering many others. Will she be able to save him or will his unknowing actions sever any feelings she has for him? And if she can't forgive him will Vallen's twin Vandon swoop in and steal her heart for good?
