Fair perceptions of Black Canadians and Immigrants issues

I found the writer to be very knowledgable and extremely unbiased. Though it was nice to hear of some personal stories, I was pleasently suprised to learn about the born and raised black Canadians and those that arrived looking to a place like "heaven" in Canada where there dreams can come true. Sadly over the years, many of their dreams were not accomplished. But those who did push on were amazing people who unfortunately are not recognized by either the white or black citizens in this counry. As a white female, 30 years of age. Born in raised in the GTA I have had friends of many backgrounds and religions. I can't imagine the years prior to the 70's and the way black were treated, and though I fell optomistic today that programs are working to help the troubled black youth, that out society has created this gap in the first place - can they overcome?I think that there should be more teaching to our children of Canadian heros in the black community and across Canada. Maybe this will assist them to feel they to can conquer their dreams.***A book I couldn't put down until my eyelids went on me. A must read for all generations, and for people across this great country. For we all share the same 2 goals - peace and prosperity.Buy it - rent it BUT DON'T MISS IT. You won't be dissappointed. As
