In WWII an Army Air Corp/Force pilot had not received the required pre-combat training. He was restricted from flying some of the major fighter airplanes. Because of unusual circumstances he was sent on two Air Force missions. This story tells how he handled situations for which he was not prepared. After returning from these missions he left the Air Force and became an Infantry Officer. While a passenger on a military transport that carried missionaries and prisoners the crew became incapacitated. He was thrust into becoming the emergency pilot of this large airplane. His inexperience, bad weather, instrument problems and belligerent passengers added to his problems.
