A Philosophical Riddle

Adam Michael Birkholz (1746-1818) was an alchemical author who wrote under a multiplicity of pseudonyms, his best known being 'Adamah Booz.' These two short pieces, 'A Philosophical Riddle' and 'A conversation, between Mercury, an Alchemist and Nature' were contained in 'Die ganze h here Chemie und Naturwissenschaft', 1787.
The conversation or dialogue is satirical and rather amusing in places.
