I loved this novel!! Can't wait for the next one.

Magical, Romantic, Patriotic...

I loved reading this novel it brought back beautiful memories of my childhood growing up in Camaguey. "A Pesar del Amor" made me laugh, made me cry and reminded me of my history. This novel allows the reader to feel as part of the Salvatierra's family and like Isabel is able to love it and hate it at times. I have decided to recommend this book to my friends because I know that they will enjoy reading it as much as I did. I also think that the novel gives a different view of Cuba, sometimes overshadowed, forgotten due to political stress.
