The concept of praying through Scripture is one that many people have become acquainted with, but using this concept may be a different story. Author, Maureen Thomas, has taken this concept to heart and prepared this devotional-style book as an example of praying through the Bible. Each day's prayers are focused on a specific book of the Bible. A pattern rotates through prayers for yourself-Personal-and your family-Children, Son, and Daughter.

The idea for this book came as a result of the author being awakened during the night with the urgent impression to pray for her adult daughter. A couple of days later, her daughter was tragically killed in a car accident. Knowing that many parents agonize in prayer for their children, whether young or grown, she set about to compile 229 prayers drawn from each of the sixty-six books of the Bible.

Intercede with God, for He is able to do exceedingly more abundantly than we can think or ask. Meditate on Isaiah 49:25, 'But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.' Claim it and believe it."
