Love, love, love!

My friend, who’s family has grown up reading the “Marcia books” as they call them, has been badgering me for years to read them. I never did, thinking that they were just cheesy romance books. They kind of are, but who cares? I loved this book with all of my heart! The main character, Breck, who Is just an “old-fashioned girl”, as she puts it, is so relatable, to me at least. And the love interest, Reese *sigh* I’m feeling a little hot, let me just grab a fan. He’s exactly what every girl wants! I’m a bit of a grammar Nazi, but while there are a few typos, their romance is beautifully crafted! I fell in love with both of the characters. In almost every book, there is some kind of conflict. Because romance books don’t typically have much action, the conflict usually comes in the form of either a love triangle or one character keeping a secret that the love interest finds out about and they are driven apart (though they always end up together in the end). Anyway, I’ve always hated the second option. It feels overrated and irrelevant because I know that they’ll get back together in the end anyway. This whole book, through the beautiful moments they have together, I was just dreading the moment when a complication would arise. However, it never did! At least not in the big annoying way that I was expecting. The romance in this book was so simple, so perfect, so pure, that it just leaves you feeling as though the world is better somehow. Anyway, I absolutely loved this book! This is a strong statement since I have 450 books, but this is by far my favorite! I’ll forever cherish it. If you’re thinking about getting it, DO IT! I promise you won’t regret it, it was so worth it for me!
