This odyssey book is a long time in the making, but time has not diminished the fond memories of the 1985 Noah's Ark expedition with Col. Irwin and the 23 other inspired individuals that accompanied him. Herein are the disappointments, the victories, and the author's life changing spiritual experiences. Since being introduced to Noah's Ark at an inner-city mission in Chicago as a youth Dr. Kudlas has been entranced with the Ark, Noah, and Mount Ararat. This odyssey culminated with a proposed Mount Ararat search to find the Ark, but evolved into an internal spiritual discovery that eclipsed the original goal. Follow the heartaches and disappointments to culminating friendships and spiritual victories. The book includes information on trekking, backpacking, camping, and mountaineering skills, alpine health and safety, and preparedness (survival skills). Also included is a thumbnail sketch of Turkey and their customs, the Muslim Religion, Paul's travels, and the Crusades. A list of the team, itinerary, and daily journal is included with important events highlighted. Most importantly are reflections of the precious children who befriended the author, Col. Irwin and the team and the experiences among the team and the people of Turkey. Included are Bible verses to introduce each chapter and important segments of the book. Despite difficulties and challenges, these verses and He sustained us.
