Lovely book - not just for Christians

This is the last thing we read every night before hugs and kisses. From age 12 months through now (2-1/2). When he was small, he signed the things he saw. As he got more verbal, he'd just say night-night to each thing. Now he practically recites the whole book including the final prayer. As a non-Christian parent with spouse and extended family who are Christian, this is a very comfortable book to read for our family. It's non-denominational. It teaches respect for the world around us and nature and family. The illustrations are great...they move from vivid to soothing colors. The rhymes naturally lend themselves to a quiet pace. And the whole thing concludes with a very sweet little prayer that my two year old takes great pride in saying himself: "God, Thank you for the trees, the birds, the sun that shines above. And thank you most of all dear God, for watching us with love. Night night God." This book is our trigger for bedtime. If we can read through it together and he'll say night night to each page, we know he'll go to bed smoothly. It's been that way since he was 14 months old.

Great Christian Book

This book is the best book that I have come across so far. I absolutely love it, and so does my baby. We use it often as part of our night time routine. The prayer at the end of the book is so sweet and to the point, and the illustrations are great. I would recommend this to every mommy and daddy that believe in the Christian faith, and want to pass it on to their children.

Excellent book!

Prayer should be part of every Christian family's daily routine. Bedtime is an ideal time to model prayer for our children and to encourage them to formulate prayers of their own. A Night Night Prayer teaches children to recognize God's creation both in nature and humanity. This precious prayer helps children express gratitude to the Creator for His creation.

Excellent book!

This is my almost 3-year old son's favorite bedtime book. It's very simple and easily understood for preschoolers. His favorite part is when the dad is snoring; he thinks that's the funniest thing! He loves saying, "Night, night" at the end of each page. I highly recommend this book!
