Terrorists poison natural gas mains

In this novel, a group of terrorists attack natural gas mains which poison the population of two towns. They start in Cache, Louisiana and kill over a thousand people. The FBI gets on their trail and follows them into Pennsylvania, where the terrorists attack the town of Lansdale (in which town I am currently writing this review while visiting friends) and kill several hundred, less dying in this older Philadelphia suburb because at that time, coal was still in wide use here in Lansdale.
