This book is another in a series published by Guidepost. The writing is much like that of the series, Mystery and the Ministers Wife. If you liked that series you will also like this one.
This is a novel written from a Christian perspective but not overly religious. In other words, it doesn't talk about God or Christianity on every page. There are a few times Sadie goes to church and the author does include what Sadie read during her morning devotions or her prayer that she prays but it is not preachy. It is definitely free of profanity, violence, and explicit romance.
The setting is in the Rocky Mountains. The descriptions of the scenery and view made my mind picture the trees, hear the trickling stream, smell the coffee and I suddenly found myself hungry for some warm, baked, blueberry muffins. I found comfort in the small town life as I followed along with Sadie on the awesome mysterious adventure.
Although this is 274 pages long, it is a very easy read. I could not put the book down. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
