There is no stronger bond.

What a beautiful story... both the text and the wonderful illustrations. A perfect depiction of a child's need to hold on and a mother's need to give her child wings. I gave this book to my daughter and her 6 year daughter for Mother's Day. My grandaughter loved the pictures, especially the butterflies. My daughter was brought to tears by the challenge she knows she will face some day. I bought a spare...I know I will find a perfect home for it.

Sweet story. The illustrations carry this book through a generation with life and light. These watercolors are soft, yet intense, and convey the strong bond between mother and daughter. Because of these beautiful paintings, this story takes on a life and attitude of its own. Kudos to the author and illustrator. I would love to see Ms. Roman's work in person. She has amazing talent and the ability to take us to special places. You should buy this book for your daughter, and yourself. It can take you to a special place, with memories and love.
