Dale Clem's book affirmed that my grief was not weakness

An old friend sent me this book after I lost my mother in August 1999. From the first devotion, when he describes the overwhelming physical pain of grief, I was soothed and comforted. Rev. Clem and his wife (also a paster)lost their young daughter when a tornado struck the church she was pastoring on Palm Sunday. I know that his devotions are from his heart. To read a pastor's thoughts on grief - pain, anger,sorrow - helped me to understand that my grief was not weakness, it was normal, typical and a common thread between me and all of mankind.
