Kim writes an excellent book on mental and physical health

Kim Alexis writes a wonderful book that has really made an impact on my life. As Kim tells her life's story she talks about how she has been able to survive the pressures and stress put upon her as a model, a wife and a mother in a crazy immoral world. This book carries Christian themes since religion is her major lifeline, faith is what keeps her strong. In reading this book one feels if Kim can be a morally strong and physically healthy person I can too. Kim shows us the way. This book is more than a beauty book, it is about being whole from the inside out. If you are looking for a book on beauty tips this is not the book for you, however if you want to live a healthier, happier more fulfiling life Kim tells you how and gives numerous examples of how she accomplished it..

Thoughts of an Industry Icon, Most Encouraging...

Just finished reading the book by Kim Alexis: "A Model for a Better Future", I have nothing but respect for Kim Alexis, she has written a book that will probably be read by many of her peers in the entertainment industry. She shared her faith in a very sincere fashion, not forcing it onto the reader, at the same time she reveles a passion for God, that is very evident in her writing. Coming from someone who has "been there, done that" I found the book to be very candid about Kim's very successful career, all in all a good read.

Wonderful lady of poise, elegance, unyielding!

In my second book review, as my first was done so as I had found the book, in february 15,1999, and after reading it. The lady that became an in demand glamorous model,as which I came to know about, as she was in her eighth year as a top model, I was a girl, and admired her so. I admire her still, as she has remained unrelenting in her convictions, and will remain so. Kim Alexis has sincerity that is rare, and she writes with such warmth and humor, she knows right from wrong, and doesn't elaborate in her writing, that will make her story an invaluable story for years to come. And, I hope it will be an inspiration for others girls for years to come, as she has been to me. It is a book, not only to be read at the library in a home town, but one for sitting on a shelf in a home, for one to read it, every once and awhile, each time learning something new, about the author and oneself.

Rare gift of poise reserved for a very select few.

There are two women that I admire tremendously. One is Kristin Harmon, whom had the courage to make her dreams come true. The other is Kim Alexis. Who had a successful career before she married. When I was seventeen and going to off to college, I learned that Kim Alexis was accepted to the University of Rhode Island, and had put off her college years to try modelling. After she been in a local modelling school, and was discovered. Like her,I attended a"self-improvement" course, except at that young age after hearing her on an interview I was determined to get an education. I just found a new book she wrote, and am looking forward to reading it. I still admire her, she has grace and charisma that is unprecedented. I was truly blessed to have these two ladies come into my life, and growing up, even though they are from different ages, I dressed liked them and wanted to be as sophisticated as they are.

Pleasingly truthful and straightforward.

Kim Alexis and Jim Denney present a surprisingly straightforward account of Ms. Alexis' beliefs and her faith in God. Ms. Alexis is not afraid to say what she truly believes, and she does so without trying to offend others. I don't read much anymore, but I'm glad I read Kim Alexis' book. It is great to hear someone stand up for God in an industry that despises Him.
