In the story A Miracle in the Sky, Mace Stewart could not believe what he was watching on television. A homemaker from Ohio, Edna Blocker, suddenly had the power to heal, to bring the dead back to life, after meeting Jesus Christ on an overnight flight from California. According to Blocker, who had already healed her husband's gout and brought Uncle Clyde back to life, Christ touched her and a white cross began to form along her inner arm. Now, with the help from her local church group, Blocker is now performing a healing session close to Stewart's apartment. The aspiring body builder simply can't wait to meet her and reveal his lifelong dream; his inner obsession. It is something he would give anything to obtain.
The book also includes a story about a boy who encounters a rather stinky fisherman; a high school football player with a bad attitude; a paranoid doctor; and Zach Thomas, a boy who discovers a secret his father William left for him on animation celluloids depicting Boris Badenov, Natasha Fatale, and Rocky the Flying Squirrel.
