"A Minute to Pray, A Second to Die - A Collection of Writing by Chris D. Expanded 2025 Edition" is the overdue update of the 2009 mega-anthology from Chris D., singer/songwriter of the bands The Flesh Eaters and Divine Horsemen. Included here are all the song lyrics Chris penned, from 1977 through 2025, plus poetry, short stories, dream journal entries and excerpts from his crime fiction. Altogether, this new edition adds well over 80 pages of new material. A treasure trove for Chris D.'s fans and an introduction to a truly neglected literary talent. Chris has produced landmark records by The Gun Club, The Dream Syndicate, Green on Red and The Lazy Cowgirls (along with his own bands), acted in films, worked for a decade 1999 - 2009 as film programmer at Los Angeles' American Cinematheque in Hollywood, and written and directed a feature film (I PASS FOR HUMAN, 2004). Between 2009 - 2013 he taught genre film history classes at Academy of Art University in San Francisco. 2005 saw publication of his first non-fiction book, "Outlaw Masters of Japanese Film" from IB Tauris.
