Greatest Ending

This is the end of the Wheel of Time, one of the greatest books I have ever read wrapping up my favorite book series. Brandon Sanderson did a great job finishing what Robert Jordan started.

Delivers Nearly Every Promise

The whole premise of this series is essentially 13 books building up towards this epic showdown between the forces that have rallied behind our hero and those that oppose him. You expected epic? You got epic. More than half of the book is the final battle. That's at least 500 pages of light clashing with shadow. The Last Battle makes Avengers Endgame look like a spat between 2nd graders. It is tense, emotional, and well thought out for the most part, much more than a simple power fantasy. My only gripe is that I wish the epilogue provided a little more closure. It certainly does for the main cast of characters but the side characters aren't giving as much attention or credit at the very end. As far as conclusions to long running fantasy epics are concerned however, this one stands at the top. No final battle I have ever read or watched has even come close to this.
