A Matter of Faith is a modern retelling of the story of Fatima, interweaving a contemporary narrative with the original scenes and songs from The Miracle of Fatima musical, written by Barbara Oleynick, whose cast album was recorded in 2002.
The series unfolds on two intertwined planes: the present day, where children rehearse a theatrical production about Fatima, and the historical past, where the events at Cova da Iria first took place. As rehearsals progress, the message given by Our Mother at Fatima is revealed not as distant history, but as a living call - one that precedes, shapes, and ultimately gives rise to the story of the messengers themselves.
The Miracle of Fatima musical has been performed internationally and in multiple languages, and has received endorsement from leading authorities on Fatima. Monsignor P. Luciano Gomes Paulo Guerra, former Rector of the Basilica of Fatima, described the work as "perhaps the most significant thing to happen regarding Fatima since the event itself," calling it a powerful means of evangelizing the message of Fatima in the 21st century.
