A Masquerade of Charades is a psychological fiction about a man's break from reality and his embrace of new personas to get it back. The collection of poems involves an unreliable narrator who distorts the lines of sanity by engaging in such things as paranoid schizophrenia, narcissism, loneliness, hypocrisy, and criminal enterprise. The purpose of this work is to entertain and serve as a deep dive into the study of several psychological disorders and their associated behaviors. The piece is written from a dysfunctional view of the world as only a disturbed mind could regard it. A Masquerade of Charades is forlorn, suspenseful, thought provoking, and eye opening. The story consists of ten independent poems. Each poem is eight stanzas long, those of which contain four lines in rhyme and written in perfect iambic pentameter.
