A Market man's tale is essentially a story charting my own upbringing in the Markets area of Belfast city, which is an area steeped in folklore history and tradition. Whilst many would describe A Market man's tale as a memoir, I prefer to view it as a tribute to the people of the area, many who could quite rightly be described as real characters, who lived in an era long since gone. Especially many of the owners and workers of the numerous small business establishments that existed in the area at the time, who helped sustain and support the people throughout the good times and the bad.
