THE FRIENDSHIP OF TWO MEN

A MAN CALLED NORMAN is about 2 men. I is middle-class with nice home, clothes, family, nice car, etc. The second is an older man, widower, in need, "rough around the edges", very little money, living in a home in need of a lot of cleaning and fixing up. How the first man comes to love the second is a heartwarming, tears falling story. Taken under the first man's wing, Norman becomes a child of God. It shows how not to judge someone until you get to know them. Norman is very rich today, and not monetaryily. Read it for yourself.

Awesome and inspirational story!

God will place you in the most amazing situations and this book is proof that God will take you out of your comfort zone. Awesome story of Love, giving and more.. It shows the true meaning of "Love your neighbor as yourself."

a wonderful story of compassion (a true story)

Norman was the neighborhood "weirdo" - a bachelor old man whose personal hygiene and interactions with others left something to be desired!! The author moved into the house across the street, not realizing Norman lived across the way! Horrified at first, he eventually decides to reach out to Norman and befriend him. The result is the "unforgettable story of an uncommon friendship"! A touching and inspiring true story about loving your neighbor - even if they are different in some way! More people should know about this book.

I love this book

If there's anyone who's ever heard Mike Adkins tell this story, live or via tape, you've gotta have this book. I heard him talk about his times with Norman from a tape that was able to listen to in 6th grade which was about 10 years ago. What this book does is it takes the story of Norman and tells it more in-depth and it's more personal as far as explaining Norman's spiritual growth, and also Mike's spiritual growth as he helped Norman accept the gift God had fore him. For anyone who's ever heard Mike speak, and for anyone who's ever heard of Mike's story in general, get this book.
