At the funeral for a legendary, old school police detective named Burke T. Renshaw, his son Dexter is confronted by an ex-con who demands a key to a safe deposit box the detective promised to hold for him while he was in prison. Dexter soon learns it's a key to a secret that his father had taken with him to his grave.
