Useful addition to magickal formulary resources

While there is quite a bit of controversy going around related to Herman Slater, as well as the formulas included in Magickal Formulary Spellbooks, I still find them a valuable addition to assortment of magickal formulary books that I have. I do like to collect books on oils and herbal formulas - from medicinal, spiritual and magickal perspectives - as well as books on folklore magic and magic from different esoteric traditions. While the first book in this set contains more recipes - though most of the time, you will now find the information of how much of which oil or herb you need to add, and you may have to experiment and/or just use your nose and intuition to guide you, the second book is more alike Anna Riva's book "Golden Secrets of Mystical Oils" where you have description regarding what the oils may be used for, rather than an actual recipe. For example, under "Inspiring", you may find this description: "One of the loveliest of the Voodoo formulae, this compound, as the name suggests, is supposed to help you feel optimistic, happy, confident and spiritually "high". This is also an excellent meditation incense and it is suggested as a perfect blend for businessmen or creative people who must constantly come up with new ideas. The fragrance is said to make creativity come easy." At times, the herbs included in a blend are mentioned, as under "Holy herbs": "This combination of herbs is said to be very helpful for a number of purposes. Composed of equal parts of chamomile, thyme, tarragon, cinnamon, parsley, and cardamom, this is brewed into a tea. As the steam rises from the pan, call on the spirits to protect you, and bring you health and good fortune. This tea may be added to your bathwater for extra protection in this area.

Magickal Formualry Spellbook Book II and my MAGICKAL FORMULARY SPELLBOOK I are the best books in my entire magick book collection. Book II is so useful I use it everyday. Everyone of my brothers and sister friends want their own copy of BOOK II - but its almost impossible to find - and I hate to loan my copies out - to me its a karma thing to keep my bibles sacred and private. I wouldn't hesitate to buy any book by Herman Slater.

An Invaluable Reference Work for Occult Practitioners!

No matter what craft you practice, this little book of magick will be of value. In fact, Slater's Book I and Book II makes the classic grimoires pale to insignificance in terms of practicality! It took me 6 months of searching to locate a used copy of the Spellbook Companion Book II. This is one occult title that will be worth your while to look for.
