Introductory Ribbit: All scripture is God breathed and useful for instruction and teaching (2 Timothy 3: 16-17), but let's be honest, at first reading God's word may be confusing, seemingly unrelated, or simply too painful to dwell on the meaningfulness. It is easier to read quickly and then move on to familiar stories and encouraging love.Although I am aware that there are many Bible Study methods and strategies for making His Word come alive, and all should be surrounded by prayer and asking for His wisdom and insight, I believe He has shown me a unique application strategy that I need to share.Let me introduce to you a lonely, hapless frog named YANAF. In this study he is sitting in a swamp, pondering his existence. Read his story. Discuss it with friends. Give him advice...and then, yes then girl, apply it to yourself.This short reflection of Psalm 102: 1-10 is meant to be pondered and discussed, not read cover to cover in one quick sitting. For that reason, each week's chapter contains a re-reading of the same scripture, but in a different translation. Digest it slowly as if each section were a delicious butterfly. Sometimes the initial bite will be as sour as a stink bug, but alas, I pray that each section will nourish your soul.
