Nearly twenty years ago, when Gabriel was a six-month-old toddler, he met Sensei Kaji Aso a renowned Japanese Master Artist. The two smiled at one another, with sparkly eyes as if to say... Hello dear friend.

On Gabriel's visits to the studio, his parents would bring his stuffed fluffy, stuffy Red Bear. And just as often as they visited, they frequently left it behind.

As a reminder and a gift, Mr. Aso penned this prose, and this year we are sharing it with you.
The artwork is Rochelle's first watercolor and mix-media book illustration.
