What if you were a little bit braver? What if because of that you accidentally found yourself embroiled in a supernatural shadow war raging all around you? Chris took a chance, and that's what happened to him. All because he happened across a sexy party while wandering downtown one weekend. Chris knew he'd never see the world the same again when "the Vic" saved him from being a vampire's dinner. In a short while Chris finds himself introducing himself as "Batsalot", a member of "The Queen St. West Coven". As Batsalot, Chris is Vic's student, and protector, and he drags his oldest friends into the world of magic to help destroy a great evil that has been hunting Vic. "A little bit braver" takes place in the modern world, where people are taught not to believe in magic, and to ignore what's hiding in the shadows. It speaks to the reader's curiosity, and simultaneous fear of the unknown. It is an adventure, a love story, and a conspiracy theory wrapped in magic.
