A Literary Life

By William J Palmer

At eighty-one, novelist William J. Palmer asks: What defines a life lived in words?

A Literary Life is not a typical celebrity memoir. It is a candid exploration of sixty years of marriage, four decades in academia, and the relentless pursuit of storytelling. From the innocence of 1950s Ohio to the sun-drenched beaches of California and the pubs of Galway, Palmer chronicles the joy of creation and the agony of loss.

Discover the reality behind the published novels-the rejections, the breakthroughs, and the "creative non-fiction" approach that blends memory with literary craft. This is a story of resilience through the tragic loss of a son and granddaughter, the evolution of a marriage anchored by love, and the humor found in retirement's quirks.

Perfect for readers who cherish the written word, this memoir offers:

Insider Access: A look into the life of a Purdue professor and published author.Universal Themes: Grief, love, aging, and the search for identity.Literary Depth: Rich allusions for the well-read, grounded in real-life experience.

Join Palmer on a journey through time, sport, and literature. If you believe memory is the only life after death, this book is for you.
