A Light in the Window

By Matthew Waldt

Promoting unity in the Church is Christ's mission for every Christian. Yet, it is a call which many either ignore or are woefully unprepared to answer. This is particularly true when it comes to dialogue between Catholics and Protestants. What many see as an impossible divide is largely caused by ignorance of the true beliefs held by the other party.Author Matthew Waldt knows this to be true from his personal experience. Previously a lifelong Protestant, he returned home to the Catholic Church in 2012 and has served as an adult catechist since that time. He has discovered that lay Christians on both sides of this discussion are grossly misinformed. They hold stunning misconceptions regarding both the other side's beliefs and their own doctrines.A Light in the Window is a primer for improving Catholic-Protestant dialogue. Each chapter aims to educate Catholics as to one of the orthodox doctrines of the Church while comparing and contrasting the competing Protestant views. It does so in an easy-to-understand manner which the author has successfully used to instruct those with no theological background. Each chapter concludes by providing practical solutions for advocating your Catholic faith. You will learn how to do so in a positive manner which will allow you to become a "light in the window" for your Protestant brothers and sisters.
