Mrs Della Brookshaw wrote this autobiography, illustrated with around 200 photographs, mainly for family and friends but her story is one to inspire us all. Della grew up on a small farm in north Staffordshire during the war when land was still cultivated by horse-drawn plough. She went on to marry a farmer and become an excellent cook, wife and mother. But Della Brookshaw was also the driving force behind a remarkable success story: the transformation of The Plassey from a run-down dairy farm in North Wales into a nationally-acclaimed holiday park, retail village and golf course. Della continues to live at The Plassey - her home for over 60 years - and can often be found out and about, chatting to visitors and guests, and continuing to enjoy A Life Well Lived.
