A Life Ordinary: How I managed to survive childhood

Surviving three quarters of a century while watching many others fall to the wayside led me to ponder why am I still here?
Was it great genes, good planning, or plain dumb luck that had allowed me to reach the third hump on my journey to a century?
I had to know.
So I sat and dissected my journey in intricate detail until I reached the conclusion that everything I am today originates from the experiences I gained in my first twenty years.
The ups, downs, trips, falls, bump into, get hit by moments that I somehow survived and learnt valuable lessons from.
I am a product of the stupidity and clumsiness that taught me two things.
Firstly, If it bites don't go back a second time to see if it happens again and,
Secondly, Always have a backup plan and a good excuse.
