A Life in Poetry: Words Live Forever

Within all of us, there lives this symmetry, a bond, yet still somewhat unique to each. It manifests when moments collide and all that we feel rises to the surface. It can be one of many emotions, but the intensity is so strong that it transports you to a new place with new sensations. It takes you to a world where words are hard to define, but when they are, it's called poetry. As is written, poetry is the literary work in which special intensity is given to the expression of feelings and ideas with distinctive styles and rhythm. Poetry, the shortest story written -- often with so few words it's hard to imagine that meaning lives between the lines. Yet, it does -- and all too often that meaning is quite clear and the emotions more than overwhelming. "A Life in Poetry" is a culmination of those moments within my life when emotions were hard to define, but ultimately, were born and found a home on paper. It is my hope that you connect with the poems and maybe find some symmetry or a bond that speaks directly to you.
