A King's Visit

During the visit of King Zog of Albania to Vienna in 1931, ostensibly for medical treatment but probably for more mundane reasons, he escapes two failed attempts on his life. An unexplained fire in a suburban house ultimately reveals a threat to the life of another important public figure. A Transylvanian Saxon, a Romanian gypsy musician, and the King's transgender security officer conduct their own investigation. Will they succeed in deciphering the cryptic message in time to prevent an assassination?
