A Kind of Tide is an eclectic mix of poetry and prose from Carl Norman. The author's first book-length collection, Tide was written and published entirely from prison in 2008. Because the book was released -and has been available- with zero advertising, fanfare, or advance warning, few people even knew it existed. In spite of this, it become a kind of underground classic, particularly among students at the college & university levels. Now, for the first time ever, Carl has full control of the book, and is finally embarking on a marketing campaign to drum up support for Tide. A follow-up collection is also in the works.
