This book is a collection of inspirational stories taking place in other times and other dimensions surrounding the life of a man who would not come to terms with his earthly failures until arriving at the heavenly gates. Once there, his acceptance or rejection depends upon correctly responding to two key questions: Have you been happy? Did you fulfill your purpose? In pursuit of these answers, he confronts his shortcomings through reflection on the lives of others who have faced similar circumstances. In the simple style of a fable, diverse stories and characters invite us to ask the fundamental questions that all people ought to in order to "find themselves". We look beyond conditioned beliefs to find that which is truly important in life.The main character, whom we follow into a transitional state, finds himself faced with a difficult dilemma that will determine his destiny. In what seems like magical experiences transcending common human limitation, he comes to take stock of his memories and fully appreciate that which he is on the edge of losing forever. During this journey to the interior of his conscience, the protagonist makes contact with a peculiar character who will guide him to new understandings. A change of plans or even material loss is at times necessary to discover something of greater value--adversity can be productive. The plot line of this tale is driven by the challenges our main character must overcome while in this place between heaven and earth, to realize his destiny.
