"When I first heard Susan's s story I knew it HAD to get out toa larger audience. Her story, told in a compelling manner, willbring hope and healing to many who have kept their secrets too long and need to be free. This is more than apersonal story-it is the story of God." -Jo Anne Lyon, General Superintendent, Emeriti, The Wesleyan Church This second edition of A Journey to Grace came about because of a Scripture verse the Lord spoke to Susan one day during her devotional time. "A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not snuff out." Isaiah 42:3a. Because of the emotional and mental healing she has continued to experience as an adult, she knew her experiences should not be wasted but shared for all to know; even though this meant revealing hidden struggles she would rather not share because of their deeply personal nature. Susan has revived her writing ministry with this second edition of her first book and is also writing a novel based on her life experiences. SUSAN JAMES, shares some of her deeper learning experiences in her journey to emotional wholeness. Susan and her husband, Paul, moved to Louisburg, North Carolina, in 2023 to be close to their two daughters. Paul preaches in local churches occasionally, and Susan finds joy in meeting new people and ministering to all, as God opens the doors.
