Jefferson was born June 19, 1977 to Shelia Ann Jefferson and Joseph Edward Jefferson Sr. in South Carolina, where she still resides with her three boys, who bring out the best in her, giving her strength she didn't know she had inside. She has many sisters and brothers, too many to name, and fourteen nieces and nephews. She loves them all with everything in her. Family is of utmost importance in her life. They travel in packs-anyone who knows them can attest to it.Travel along with her is this, her first poetry book, documenting joyful, stressful, and truly poignant moments in her life.
