Thistle is a yearling wolf with her pack, all howling, hunting and living together on the mountains that they call home. As the winter melts into spring, pups are born. Among them is Clover, the youngest and the boldest pup of the litter. With each passing season, the pups grow bigger and stronger. But one day, when Thistle and Clover's pack go on a hunt, trouble comes to their forest. Things take a turn for the worse, and the two sisters find themselves separated on the vast prairie, away from the mountains they love and the last of their pack to live. Alone, wounded and hungry in a wild world filled with dangers, will they ever find each other and a place to call home?
