Join D.S. Waggoner in investigating one Jewish man's cross-examination of the church's "virgin birth" claim. He presents an alternate interpretation of the birth narrative in which Joseph had union with Mary "no more" until after Jesus was born (see Matthew 1:25 in the Greek when compared with John 2:3 and John 16:17 where the Greek word "ou" means "no more", thus making Jesus the son of Joseph naturally, just as the Jews supposed - see Luke 3:23). Moreover, in Matthew 1:16, we are told Jesus' father wedded Jesus' mother, and that she (Jesus' mother) gave birth to Jesus. Churches tell us this passage describes a "virgin birth". However, in Exodus 6:20, Moses' father wedded Moses' mother, and she (Moses' mother) gave birth to Moses. So this wording (that the father wedded the mother and that the mother gave birth to the child) does not describe a "virgin birth" in Jewish law, but rather describes a natural relationship between father and son, which vindicates the Jews.
