A Human Canvas: book one: Messengers with seven wings series.

By S.A. Augustine

24-year-old FBI prodigy: agent Paul Jaeger returns from Germany to the United States to investigate a newly discovered serial killer dubbed "the artist". A killer who murders and displays the body in eerily artistic/comical fashion. Although our main character simply assumes him to be a deranged killer trying new things, that changes after the murder of a loved one, a strange interest the artist seems to have for him, and a simple phone call. He now realizes that not only is the artist sane and responsive, he also seems to possess god-like control over the outcomes of HIS life and the life of the artists victims.

Now, not only is agent Paul Jaeger tasked with catching the Artist: an incredibly intelligent, highly knowledgeable killer with both manipulative and calculative abilities, but he must also be weary of an even more elusive "copycat killer" who might be even more dangerous than the artist himself.

As agent Paul Jaeger slowly loses more loved ones - and his sanity, he must learn to pull himself together somehow to bring them down....and survive the artists twisted games.
