A Home For Hamlet is a work of fiction about an adorable little pig named Hamlet, who was received as a birthday gift, but whose habits cause him to have to stay outside. He complains about all the noises of the night creatures. Chasing after Daisy, the family dog, he gets lost in the woods near their farm. He awakes the next morning and walks for hours, but in the opposite direction of his home. He comes upon a cool stream of water where he meets a beautiful rooster named Omelet. He talks Omelet into helping him find his way back home by crowing toward the east every morning. Along the way, they meet other young animals that are also lost or abandoned, and Hamlet invites them to join him on his homeward journey. They encounter problems along the way, but as their friendship strengthens they learn to help each other in all situations. The one who complained in the beginning changes to the positive force that drives the group forward. This book, as with all my Children's Story Coloring Books, permits the child to color every other page, which helps them create half their book.
