An entertaining and informative history of the idea of the "End of the World" and how various conceptions of "the end" influenced the course of history.This book includes more than a few surprising facts about well known historical events and people and their connections to the apocalyptic that aren't usually mentioned.Throughout the book the authors' wit and sense of irony comes through. This is a fun book.
