"A Hero's Story" is the story of Tom Waller who was born into poverty to a share cropper family in Mississippi. He grew up during the worst of the depression in the 1930's and received very little schooling. Depending on hard work to seek a better life, he willingly risked his life in WWII earning him the title of hero. While a hospital patient in England because of war injuries, he gained the lifelong friendship of an English nurse. Returning home after the war, he gained the reputation of an honest and respected citizen by fighting for his community and never dwelling on the past. 'A Hero's Story' is a story of love, for family, community and country.
