Something for a hopeless romantic

I took this book with me to read on the beach as I watched my son surf the waves. It was a real treat to be able to read these reflections while listening to the ocean crash on the shore. It's a beautiful book of poetry that weaves a story I could relate to - being the romantic I am. The author has a wonderful sense of intimacy and tenderness as he shares his reflections on life and love. There's a little bit of something for everyone to enjoy and be touched by. In "The Journey of Love," on page 49 he writes: "Under the umbrella of love, it shall never rain." Just one example of many verses and sentiments that made me go weak at the knees. This book spoke to me in many ways ... made me smile, made me cry, made me look upon the ocean with a true sense of gratitude for each day. I give this book the highest rating!
