loved it, but ending sucked

I thought this book was very good and very erie, however I think the ending was cut way too short. So short that it seems rushed. I won't say anymore because I don't want to ruin the ending for people who want to read it, because it is worth the read.

a very scary book!

Okay let's start from the beginning..I opened the book and started to read in the car while I was waiting for my dad (he was out shopping)I putted it away when he camed back and when we camed home I contiuned to read. And I read, and read and read to the last page.I couldn't put it away, I read it on one day. ... It is about 12-year old Florence who finds a picture of an old reletive, George. She somehow manige to make him come back from the dead when she is doing some spell whit white stones. And George's come and they become friends but George is becoming more and more "evil".I am not gonna tell so much about it..it's more fun to read it.But it is a chilling book. Not like in movies whit blood and stuff. It's scary whit a ghost who can jump up and scream in your face.I was actually a little bit afraid when I was going to sleep, because who news who can scratche on your window! But come on it is only book...but I will never collect white stones and call for a old relitive.

A Different Kind of Book

I've never read a book like this one. It was very mysterious in ways. In the book, Florence calls upon the ghost of George (A dead relative whom she has just found out about and now wants him to play with her)and gets into more than she bargained for. I thought it was neat how George's ghost shows up to different people in different forms. When Florence calls him, she has a picture of him as a child, and he comes as a child. When Florence's cousin Nellie gets involved, she sees him as a middle-aged man. I couldn't put it down. I loved the mystery of it, and the ghostliness. There was kind've a quietness about it, and the author doesn't give you all the answers, which makes it even more mysterious, and a bit chilling. Anyone who likes ghost stories would like A Haunted Year.
