It is Halloween time, and a haunted house attraction has moved into Beulah "Cookie" Simmons's small home town. Which has to be one of the worst things possible because Cookie hates haunted houses Her mother, Maven Simmons, tries to convince her that the haunted house will be good for the town, but Cookie isn't too sure about that, and she is right As soon as the haunted house moves into town, trouble surrounds it. When there is a problem, Mama and Cookie are there to solve it, or more like Mama convinces Cookie to take on the case.
