A Given Line in Time

Near the end of the Cold War the Russian military has developed a new generation MiG fighter that they believe is superior to any fighter aircraft in the world. To be certain of its superiority before the fighter goes into full production, General Vladislov of the Russian Air Force enlists the help of Major Biysk of the KGB to recruit American fighter pilot Keith Derryk to defect in his latest generation F-18C so that Derryk can deliver the latest American fighter to the Russians, and test pilot the new MiG to see how it really stacks up. But when the CIA gets wind of the plot, they turn the tables on the Russians by secretly taking Keith Derryk into custody and "recruiting" his twin brother Peter to assume Keith's identity and undertake the mission of his life. To defect to Russia in an older technology F-18, and attempt to turn his test flight of the new MiG into the race of his life to get the Russian fighter safely into the hands of the awaiting American Military.
