Outstanding!!

Leceila did a great job with this book. It was interesting from the moment I started it and didn't want to put it down. Being a native from a small town in North Carolina I could really relate to the story line and details. It was a fun read and I have recommended it to all my "reading" friends.

Three hours!!!

That's right, it only took me three hours to finish this book!! I really enjoyed it. I thought the character development was on point and the book never veered off the path. The only disappointing thing about the book is the ending. I wish there was more description about Eva and Xavier once he was released. It just skipped to nine months later. But overall great read!!

Where true love lies

This book was very romantic. People look for love in so many places that often times the very place you might avoid is the very place where love awaits. I really enjoyed this book. There are a lot of lessons taught and learned within the pages. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone. There has to be a part two to this book.

Very Good and Unusal Romance

This is well written book with an unusal subject. I do not want to give away any of the book. However, the subject matter was handled with class and intelligence. Therefore, this is not your typical 'i fell in love with a felon' romance.

Titillating and vivacious characterization of the plight of professional Black women searching for "

A Gift to the Eye and More is a portrayal of the state of affairs of professional Black women in America who in their quest for the "ideal" mate, one who meets their professional and complimentary standards, of similar interest and compatibility. In the case of Eva, finding that compatible interest was far removed from the lifestyle and comfort level that she had grown accustomed to. It makes one wonder. Is this the state of affairs for professional Black women? Will they have to lower their professional standards and settle for any amorous relationship? As a Black male, A Gift to the Eye and More is discomforting and disappointing, questioning the motive of Black males who apparently are not measuring up, causing the Eva like sisters, to be waiting at the alter for that compatible Black male that seems to never show up and take his rightful place beside her. Thanks for this intriguing analysis of Black male/female relationships. It helps us brothers to take a look at ourselves and, hopefully make the appropriate changes to step up to the plate and be that compatible mate for our sisters that are Eva like who demand no less. In effect, we should be setting the professional standard. A Gift to the Eye and More tells us that we have work to do and we can't sit on our laurels and believe that our physical prowess is sufficient. Thanks for the challenge.
